Indeed, and it's all for profit, which is the thing systemically dependent on energy by extraction. Thanks for a good article identifying the carbon capture industry as something that will make the energy problem worse, rather than better. Instead of cutting emissions, we would be increasing them, and thus the rate of temperature rise by E=MC squared alone.
