In a general sense, we might have a similar message here. I am arguably an expert systems Engineer, my role has often been to coordinate different experts in different domains, so as to thread all together to get a coherent multisciplinary whole system picture.
But even we were trained initially by a system which is single disciplinary in nature, by receiving our main academic education from the system of commodified education. We all went through the same system prior to graduation, hence producing single domain specialists. We were all single domain specialists at one time. My own earlier specialism was in electrical and electronic engineering.
To me, having focused my long term practiced systems Engineering skills on what I see as a global energy problem, for seven years now, the real problem underlying climate change and even wars now brewing, are all down to our lack of ability to see systemically, blinded by commodified education.
If only Engineers could truly understand economics, and if only Economists could truly understand Engineering, a lot of our problems would be solved, I think.
This is what is needed to show that profit is a dishonest, unsustainable energy lie, and the real culprit underlying all the problems.
When we boil it down, there is no such thing in terms of energy as a fair profitable exchange, and it's actually a system of energy slavery we operate and by which we destroy the planet. We each have control of the energy supply of those with less already than us, and we force them to keep giving us their energy by exercising a stranglehold on their energy supply, only giving them any when they give more to us, from those with less than them, to give them more back to them, and yada yada all the way back to the planet, which is the only thing that can supply more out for a little in, for any length of time, only a couple of thousand years as it turns out, before the constant destruction of all things, all life from the planet, results in elevated temperature, which results in desertification, all life of significance gone, where normally the purpose of life of any kind is to reverse entropy, ours has been to do the opposite as a collective operating all as a system of energy slaves.
When we see this, maybe it's easier to make more accurate predictions on where things might or might not go, therefore make better predictions for the future.
As stands, we are screwed until somehow, we start to issue free money so as to monetise the energy of sunlight received for free.
This is the only way to transmit the energy from the sun, which we are collecting now in massive quantity, to all needing it.
Hence why I say we will be driven one way or another to domestic and community based solar hydrogen, so as to keep all aerospace airborne, or we will perish.
But by being multidisciplinary, am I still an expert? ;-)
