If you believe the world is ending, then like you say, you might plan to wind everything down as equitably and humanely as possible.
But if you see the world is not ending at all, this is just humanity facing a major change, like being born out of necessary technical capitalism, into a new mode of necessary technical energyism, then you might just sit tight and let it happen, or perhaps get involved in equipping your home, community, business with solar power backed by hydrogen.
Why should you believe the second possibility rather than the first?
Its a long story, but we are going solar powered, driven by nature, just like the shoot of a tree goes solar powered, when it first shoots leaves.
Money has to move to align with the continuous, limitless, donated energy of the sun, instead of with the locked up finite energy of capital, to become in humanity as nutrients are in trees, conducting energy and the products of energy donated from the sun to Earth.
Now we are already using some of that donated energy product, but money is not yet reflecting it, so money is devaluing in markets, causing what we see as inflation, as the market knows has to happen when money is becoming removed from the increasing thing of value, the actual physical energy product of tens of gigajoules per second being put to usein every country.
Sooner or later, money issuers have to admit this, and issue free money to all people, as demanded by markets, they want money which is backed by actual product, not money backed by nothing but dwindling capital, and since the energy at the input was pushed to us for free, no extraction is needed, no promise to pay, the money has to be given for free to all people.
That technically ends capitalism, like we saw previously when trillions of stimulus was issued previously, remember oil prices went negative, gold languished, but the dollar itself, and shares in technically bankrupt but still loved companies, soared.
Also we saw a brief spike of recovery in the environment, the only one ever.
So I would say either sit tight and demand free money when you need it, or get busy assisting in whatever way possible towards scaling uo the solar product put to use.
Anything else, like war, is likely to jeapardise the chances of our species being born.
If our species can't be born, then it dies at birth, like some things do, but it absolutely isn't necessary, I hope you agree our species does not need to be aborted.
