If we recognise that our profit driven colonial mindset has a tendency to destroy things, and entire civilisations which were not themselves driven by profit, and then wipe away all traces of their existence (Our shame), then we might understand why establishment is so reluctant to accept the possibility that there might have been technological civilisations in the past, it seems to me.
