If we found a way to provide infinite things to consume, would you still see consumption itself as a problem? If so, why? This would be an illogical emotion I think. If the consumption is from a limited pie that you share, then I can understand a reason to feel it isn't very fair, but if the consumption actually has associated with it greater creation of the resources being consumed, the opposite of the action of profit, with even the opposite effects on global warming, planetary cooling as opposed to planetary heating, why would anyone feel aggrieved about that?
