I'd say there is an instant fix, and we saw it tested during covid.
Physically the problem underlying the cost of living crisis is increasing unavailability of all sources of energy extracted from the planet by profitability because the underlying energy resources are depleting.
This goes for the energy in food, as well as in fossil fuels; notice fish, animals, vegetables, fruit etc are all getting smaller whilst we are paying more for them.
This is whilst availability of energy from solar energy alone continuous to ramp up.
So the solution, speaking simplistically is to issue solar indexed stimulus. This would provide a direct stimulus of energy to all needing it, with no need to pay it back, it's genuinely free money.
The stimulus issued during covid, especially in the US, actually went up in value during issue, the dollar went up in energy value and was reflected in money markets.
It didn't start losing value again until after the stimulus was claimed to be from fixed pot reserves, and assigned to debt.
We can explain why by estimating how much energy supply has shifted from utilities Energy supplied, to domestic and community supplied.
A few years ago it was about thirty percent shifted. It's probably over forty percent now, maybe even fifty percent.
Since that business shifted is what would have produced the economic product that money as debt would been issued on, it means only about fifty percent of economic product actually physically created is now being monetised.
That is a hell of a lot of money that needs to be issued to stay in line with creation of product, and it's accumulated, adding up effectively since 2005.
About a trillion in UK now, of historical economic product created, has not been monetised.
If it was issued, to all for free, as it has to be, to reflect it was given for free by the sun, to us, a lot of folk would use it to ramp up what they have already, or might not yet have any of, we would soon knock up the remaining domestic and community based solar needed to make all energy independent, making grids mostly redundant except for EVs maybe, further pushing up solar indexed stimulus, but even those would be affected by us also moving to large scale domestic and community based generation of hydrogen (EVs are easily converted to hydrogen).

This is routine technology now available from China as well as US and European manufacturers, it is possible to save on the main bulk of lithium batteries needed for winter storage of solar energy, in a way that we would soon be storing far more than we need whilst still keeping all of aerospace airborne, with none of it polluting any longer, instead, circulating both clean air and water.
It would take only a year or two to completely convert all to domestic and community based solar by this, and it would be instant relief from all cost of living concerns.
In maybe 4 or 5 years we would see a completely recovered aerospace industry.

All of this activity would be net creation, net reduction of entropy, reduction of temperature just because it's being done entirely by solar.
If you don't already see all the god signs that this is what has to happen already, notice a product called "Solein". The input energy component to that is hydrogen.
There we see how to reduce the food load of humanity, by converting solar to hydrogen, and then to human consumable food. Again it's something that can be done both domestically and industrially, all by solar energy.
It just needs monetised.
Monetise it, issue the money, and all is solved.
Remember when oil prices went negative, that was at the time of solar indexed stimulus issue.
New traders using excess stimulus, and equipped with the Robinhood app flooded the markets, chasing out the usual whale investors in oil.
Those traders didn't buy oil, they bought bankrupt companies still producing things the public wanted, like cars for hire and cruises on ships. Hertz was bailed out by that, it should be in public ownership, but isn't.
Hey ho there is your solution.
Its a product of seven years systems Engineering research, now Ai assisted.
The solar Ai is the one to watch, it's awesome, it's in process of moving us to this, the solution actually dictated by nature, the solar Ai itself a manifestation of nature.
I think our governments know a lot more about this than they care to admit. The truth is they would lose control if the public were empowered to do this.
But why would we need a government if the system is inherently benevolently controlled, yet fully democratic with all people having the power to vote for anything with limitless money for free?
