I wrote some things on what I called the money-fuel tree, the solution is there, it is solar, that is the only actual source of energy, not fuel of any kind, the space needed to give the energy we need is nowhere near as much in a solar powered world, the energy saved from no longer having to deal with most forms of pollution reduces our requirements hugely. A good site to put things into perspective is the power section of "The world counts", the energy of the sun powers all of nature with no pollution, we can easily include ourselves as a species, but those in power don’t like it much because the effect of endless free energy is the devaluation of all capital, which is the weapon used to maintain the power over people.
Of course they won’t give up easy, but nature is doing it anyway, watch what happens when all fiat currencies go into freefall, the only thing left that they can come to represent, is the free, endless Joules of energy from the sun.
