I would urge you look at the idea of capitalism itself, in terms of energy, to find that there is a fundamental flaw in the handling of all energy as capital.
Energy is being dealt with always as capital because that seems the easiest way to think about it, and perhaps to teach it in schools, where teaching is something done for profit.
But the subjects of economy and energy / physics being taught separately seems to have resulted in us missing a fundamental flaw with the way we handle energy, which explains why we are seeing now massive instability.
There is a real physical reason for this instability, linked with our environment, which requires multisciplinary knowledge of both economics, and physics, to understand, it seems to me.
When we try to explain this problem to either physicists, or economists, neither understands the problem, so neither sees any problem, it seems to me.
The problem is that capital cannot truly express energy, but it is energy we actually perceive by our senses nonetheless, not capital.
Capital is something we use to abstract energy, in a way we’ve historically found most convenient, but now we are starting to see environmental and planetary disaster as a real possibility resulting from our activity, we have to ask why, and we have to see the fundamental reason why, because such a reason does actually exist. We can see it clearly when we have knowledge of both physics and economics, when we put those two things together in our minds.
Knowledge of physics is required to understand that all energy comes from the sun.
There are some damaging arguments existing in science claiming otherwise, which are themselves distorted by capitalism. We need to be able to recognise those, and to discard, because the truth is really important when it affects survival of our species.
All energy on Earth comes from the sun. There are no other magical forces at work to give us energy, only the sun.
The sun is the only source of energy we have to play with, so that is what we must concentrate on, to fix the problem of energy.
Now when we do the energy analysis of economics, we should notice economics has no method of directly representing the energy of the sun.
Economics represents all things created by the sun, but not the energy of the sun itself.
Therefore no reward exists for use of the direct energy of the sun.
Reward exists for use of energy from capital, but not for use of energy directly from sun.
Where we extract energy from capital, we are altering the physical state of something created by the energy of the sun, to obtain a small amount of that energy back out again.
We might observe this energy is secondhand. It was first embodied by the creation of something physical, by nature, using direct energy of the sun.
Where we can extract some of that energy, by doing whatever work is necessary to extract it, we think of that physical material as a kind of "Fuel".
All energy represented by capital is from fuel.
Since nature created the fuel from the energy of the sun, we are decreating something created by nature, to extract our energy.
Therefore there is a waste product of pollution, created by de-creation of anything that we did not create ourselves, directly from sunlight.
None of it is directly from the sun.
Therefore capitalism technically cannot reward for use of the energy of the sun, only things created around the processing of secondhand energy, which always must produce pollution, we literally cannot represent non-polluting work done by the energy of the sun using capitalism, only work done by secondhand energy, which must always produce pollution.
Allow that result, and its implications to sink in... Capitalism, the technical handling of all energy in terms of capital, can only result in pollution. Capitalism literally cannot be practiced without producing pollution.
Caoitalism, is pollution.
We literally cannot represent constructive firsthand energy direct from the sun in our economy, because mathematically, capitalism can’t express it.
The energy from fuel is in the form of Joules.
The energy from sunlight is Joules per second.
Physics requires that we take account of time, in order to build all manner of Engineering things of applied physics.
But our economy does not.
If we wish to fix that, as now we absolutely must, then we have to change the economy to align with physics.
We have to do that, to enable reward for using constructive firsthand energy from the sun, in preference to destructive secondhand energy from fuel.
We seem to be moving towards that with inflation.
Money is starting to slide from something only representing capital, to something that might represent the energy of the sun, Joules per second, instead of just Joules.
To do it correctly, money has to go free, like the energy of the sun.
Notice also when we create fuel ourselves in the same way as nature does, from the firsthand energy of yje sun, then we can decreate that human made fuel with no pollution whatsoever.
Green hydrogen for example, using electrolysis from solar, gives us endless clean fuel from the free energy of sunlight.
But adding it to our economy destroys all value in capital, because by Austrian Economics we must create money in response to product, so by receiving free hydrogen fuel from sunlight, we must issue money freely to all people including those contributing no perceived work, bacause all of the work of production is being done by the energy of the sun, which itself is free.
All people should understand this, it seems to me.
I trust all will, soon.
