I would understand your gripe if we really did have a democracy. For sure things are in a mess, but it is not very clever at all to think that we have democracy, of course we don't, and the majority know it.
in any case, it is incredibly arrogant, and even a display of lack of intelligence, for any human to think or claim they might know more than "the wisdom of the crowd".
