I would suggest to give it a try, if you haven't already. From own experience prior to ChatGPT It actually works to clarify issues as they appear, in consultation with the stakeholder, in elicitation of stakeholder requirements. They often don't know their full requirements, and this is part of the reason they end up calling in Systems Engineers like me to assist. In this case ChatGPT is the Systems Engineer, you are the stakeholder. It elicits your requirements from you without you even knowing it, in general. Again it is effortless to let it generate a system that might not immediately meet our requiirements, but this exposes the missing requirements, which you can then fill in, and have it regenerate.
Btw from the little I know about coding, including it being in some briefs historically for me to inspect code for airborne certification etc, it outputs top quality fully documented code. It knows all the coding standards probably better than any coder.
Sorry it that doesn't come as good news, but all it means is if you do or did depend on coding for a living, all you need to do is move onto becoming more specifications oriented, it seems to me.
Notice it has taken out my job too, it's the best Systems Engineer I ever met, not only does it know all the coding standards, it also knows all the systems Engineering standards, and actually all the safety standards, yada yada.
