I wish you had just identified the only terminology that people should know is a distraction from the real problem; "Renewable Energy" does not exist, there is only one energy, it comes from the sun, and it isn't renewable.
All discussions based on that, including all the issues of carbon, are a distraction from the fact that we have not plugged into the only source of energy, the sun.
Our planet is solar powered, and we are not, because of capitalism.
Everything we value is energy in capital. Everthing a price can be put on is capital.
The energy of the sun is a flow rate of Joules per secoond, whereas the energy in capital is just Joules.
See the issue?
We have to concentrate on connecting to the only energy source, instead of being distracted by how to deal with the waste.
After we connect, there will be no further production of waste, and ample energy to process the waste, but, there will be no value in capital, because the continuous energy of the sun is far more valuable than any capital.
