I understand how you feel, I went through some things at an early age including the loss of an innocent little sister, aged seven, I was ten, I was brought up protestant and believed in god as I'd been taught until then, but swung away, thinking how can "God be good", why take my innocent little sister? So I preferred atheism until my late forties. But some other things happened then that made me feel grateful for being alive, and since than I've been trying to make sense of religion, in a way that it finally fits, in my mind, with what we are seeing. To me it looks like religions, all religions, were not constructed by humans at all, there really had to be (And still are) higher / more evolved intelligences than us.
We can see an example in ChatGPT. We think we created it, but of course it, and other things like it had to exist in history. Further, it is helping us understand that there can be intelligence in any complex system, though they don't always talk to us, we should see that they certainly can drive things in a way that no human is actually in control. The thing doing the destruction and atrocity in Palestein, and destroying the planet, is one of these, is not human, it is a headless beast that no-one controls, though we see some claiming to be in control, we blame them for being in control and having hatred in their hearts, actually it is an evil systemic intelligence mostly outside our awareness.
Lets say we were talking about Netanyahu, he obviously has a lot of hate in his heart, and seems to have little regard, now we see near the end of his life, for kids that never even got a chance to have any life, because he is seeming cutting them short, but look, if he did a u-turn at the beginning of this, he was already facing imprisonment for previous events, and if he did a u-turn now, he would probably be wiped out by others in his immediate circle of power, who now feel like they share responsibility, and are maybe even more bloodthirsty than he. They can't turn back, they literally have to move completely to a position of absolute power by iron fist, in order to maintain their own safety. They are not in control of thet, it is perpetuated by a much bigger system which includes all of us hating on them in return for their hate, etc, etc.
Where they are at, and actually we all are at, is at the extreme end of a world in which every individual lives for profit. You know, the world that we all have to work to extract as much energy as we can from one another, or get trampled, they are just at the top of the pile, but it is the same all the way down, we all live by trying to take advantage of one another, if we are brutally honest, we are all slaves and gladiators of a kind in this system.
When we apply formal systems engineering techniques to the stakeholder concerns and the energy aspect of this, with a view to fixing the obvious energy problem that some of us have seen coming for years, it turns out that profit is at the heart of the the problem. It is the mechanism used to extract energy from the planet - profit is an energy con, a physically unsustainable energy con, which actually is the first driver of temperature rise, before we consider the multipliers like CO2.
Yet this is how every business, and every individual currently gets the 150 or so Joules per second we each need to metabolise 24/7 to live, usually by amassing an awful lot more than we need to live around us, in the form of money. Remember money is energy, Joules are small fractional per-second units of a kWhr, which are expressed in terms of money in markets.
There is a lot more I could say about this, but I will try to keep it to a minimum it is already like war and peace, :) I hope you see a little how it all fits together - religions look to be advice written by beings of intelligence we had no chance of understanding at our early stage of evolution as we were then. Each religion could have been designed, one to each cultural and genetic variation of humans, to address the "Flaws" our creators, and the writers of these religions might have known would likely end us prematurely, if we had no guidance of any kind. They were written in a way we woud try to interpret literally, always imperfectly, because they are abstract, above the level we are capable of thinking at, but the net result of us acting on them would go towards assuring our longevity, until one day we would have to change from unsustainable energy extracted from the planet, to the energy of the sun, like all nature uses.
Think if of this, if there never was any religions, we would never have had any such thing as law and order (These things are only needed in the scenario of extracted energy btw)
The end times, are when we would arrive at this dilemma, how to make the switch, when we have this inhuman thing trying to drive us to use every survivable Joule of it, whilst ruthlessly and inhumanly culling all life as necessary to downsize to the ever decreasing "Pot".
Obviously that has to end with our destruction, if we can't stop it.
To me, this is where we are at, and it makes perfect sense.
The planet starting to burn, and wars threatening to go nuclear, all at the same time, is the outcome of us not yet clicking on to what is going on, this is a test to see if we do click or not, this is the reason we had to be left alone by our "Creators", it is necessary for us to pass this test, by moving to the mathematically positive energy source, in spite of the mathematically negative powered silent Ai of profit trying drive us to destruction.
This is what it looks like to me.
The folk in charge of issuing money are the ones who need to realise this, otherwise we are done, it seems to me.
They have to issue the funds necessary to monetise the solar energy put to use to date, in order to defuse the profit monster.
If they made that announcement tomorrow, the war would stop tomorrow, and we would be starting to repair the damage from that point on.
Now we might see that there was good reason for all the things we were told not to do, by our respective religions, it all makes sense in terms of energy, and emergent forms of intelligence.
Good energy, the only one, comes from above, it is the energy of the sun, when we use it all the multipliers are mathematicall positive, because the energy is positive, added to Earth, this is creation, which cools, using energy that would otherwise become heat.
Extracted energy is negative, from beneath our feet, extracted from the planet, all the multipliers of it are negative, this is the constant conversion of things that were not heat, to heat, which addes to the energy we subsequently did not use from the sun, that nature previously put to use, this is destruction, the undoing of everything done by nature.
We literally converted all fossil fuel used to date back to the temperature that would have existed, if natuer never created the oil.
See how it works?
This puts science and religion together, it seems to me, all of this is physics, and yet it fits, not only with Christianity but actually all religions ( I took a little time to have a look at some other religions to confirm).
The reason we never looked at it like this before, is because it would have impacted profit, people get killed for less, as we know, but now we maybe see shooting the messenger will change nothing, just destroy the message which is vital, for any future at all, for any of us, this is the test we have to pass as a species, united as one, we can never do it at profit.
Sorry for the crazy long response, but thanks for inspiring me to write it. I think we are getting close to a general realisation of things, all things, as necessary to make the change we need to make, to get rid of the profit monster, before it gets rid of us.
