Thnks for posting, interesting development. I thought I'd replied to this already but it looks now like I didn't. Hey-ho, apologies for being late. Here is my tuppence ha'penny-worth:

In essence, the important thing about the energy is it has to be put on Earth, one way or another, it isn't particularly useful to us in space. I don't believe the losses which would be experienced by transmitting it by some kind of EM would be worth the energy cost of trying to maintain a system like this in space, the only thing that might be accomplshed by it in theory would be concentration of the energy into something maybe useful by conventional profit driven, centralised "Big industry" which is otherwise fossil fueled, or nuclear.

But how would that reduce the damage being done to Earth, if the damage being done is because of the way big business keeps everyone in near poverty, therefore no one really has a choice but to continue in the system of exploitation of all things in nature, as well as one another?

As said, I see that there is a perfectly fine solution that truly fixes everything by forcing decentralisation whilst enriching all people, it is to just use the technologies of solar panels coupled with hydrogen everywhere it can be used on a community basis, to get the full benefits of solar energy, including the issue of Kardashev Money to all people.

This is how we would get humanity to work like a plant, having drawn our energy up from Earth for thousands of years until we started to sprout leaves in the form of solar farms all over Earth, we now have to do with our money what the nutrients in the plant must do - change direction, to genuinely, truly flow from top down, transporting energy from leaves to Earth, whilst supplying all further growth, rather than being used to draw energy up from Earth (By human labor), to grow the plant to its current stature.

Besides, until then, I see currency, all currencies deflating, because whilst the solar energy capacity scales up, and our accumulated yet unmonetised use of it continues to accumulate, the currencies have to deflate. That is physics, combined with Austrian Economics, both trusted and tested, and even demonstrated when 4Tn was issued in the US, and oil prices went negative, whilst the dollar went up, and the environment including such things previously thought to be irreversible like coral and fish stocks, showed a brief spike of recovery.
