I think your opinion might be based on what you don't know, maybe flavored with a large dose of what you've been taught is communism. It is different, the co-operative way of working, but proven by some very big co-ops.
Further, it is compatible with the Energyism economy we are physically headed for, the only way we can avoid further destruction by energy extraction, pretty much all for profit companies still offering product valued by the public, after monetisation of outstanding solar product created, will fall into public hands after technically going bankrupt. Companies offering product truly valued by the public are rescued by us spending our free money on purchase of their bankrupt shares. Companies offering things the general public doesn't want are allowed to just disappear, by their prices going negative.
We saw this demonstrated during issue of stimulus, it was a kind of miracle, oil prices going negative, to me that was pure fine grained democracy we saw right there, maybe the first time ever.
It will be a very different world, but not one anybody should be afraid of.
Personally I will be celebrating, non-stop, if I am lucky enough to live to see it play through.
