I think you were right about everything except the Uighurs. There never was any extermination there, forced education maybe, but it seems to have worked, the terrorism that triggered the Chinese reaction seen by Uighurs has stopped and the Uighurs in the Uighur district, Xian seem to be doing very well and are happy, we don't see them running from China as refugees. The delegation of clerics sent by Indonesia to investigate the Uighur issue came back with nothing to report, Western media didn't acknowledge that at all, the Uighur thing is a pure political weapon that we use now and then to prod, imho. Comparing that with the full force military onslaught against the Palestinians is a not fair at all, imho.
China's real humanitarian crimes were in the past when they literally mass employed prisoners as slaves. There might be still some of that going on, but we are probably worse for it now than China.
