I think you underestimate how dumb our economy makes us.
You identified correctly that all intelligent life uses tokens to transfer wealth, but missed that real wealth is the essence of life, all of nature passes it around and stores it in tokens, that is the energy of the sun, and the only reason we exclusively practice profit is we have yet to realise how to do it the way the rest of nature does, by donation, from the grand donor, the sun.
When we do that, we will see there is more to life, much, much, more than profit.
Also, we will no longer have wars or any kind of global environmental problem.
You could say we are a fledgling species, about be weaned off of the limited resources of our planet, to now have to turn to the relatively unlimited energy of our environment, the sun.
To deal with limited energy, we needed a limited economy based on all the concepts of profit, loss, interest, debt, efficiency, capital gains, etc.
But to have the energy from the sun we need an unlimited economy, otherwise the energy is not being authentically represented by tokens, right?
That means the end of all value in capital, which is what most folk invested in the old system can’t get their heads around.
