I think you hit the nail when you mentioned economy. The effects of that are so deep in our psyche, most people of us don't realise it goes right to our soul.
As an engineer it is clear to me that the Joules of energy from the sun which are put to use by us, are valuable physical product, which is donated to us at no cost, and yet we see no issuance of money in any economy, by any government, to reflect that valuable donated product.
Isn't that strange?
