It's a form of virtue signaling imho, a special ability, nay training, that enables us to ignore that we are part of a horrific system, causing all the horror and destruction, not just racism, though that comes into it, its deeper than that, enabling us to ignore the horror done even to our closest, actually we can turn on our closest when push comes to shove, and the Israelis are included in this characteristic, in fact, they are arguably most trained, maybe even the original instigators of it.
