I think you are about right with most of this, though the full involvement of the US in our energy predicament should be hammered in, it was they who stood to gain most, when the pipelines were bombed by parties still "Officially" unknown, even after Biden more or less announced in advance they would do something unknown, to make sure the pipelines would come to grief.

Anyhow on resuscitating manufacturing industry, I doubt we could aspire to that, as the energy value in money is depleting rapidly, more rapidly than it could be spent on rebuilding traditional industry, which the energy resources have disappeared from anyhow. But it isn't too late to start a new industry, given solar energy is scaling up worldwide anyhow. Domestic and community based solar hydrogen is necessary to rescue at least the aerospace industry, which would be started by issue of solar indexed stimulus to all, enabling and incentivising all to put together the required solar hydrogen resources necessary.

The problem with this is that the elites in UK might think this would affect their own wealth, they still think its a zero sum game, as it physically was, and would like to keep it that way, because by that they retain their political power.

In fact it's by refusing to do this that they more or less guarantee the loss of all their wealth, as well as all chances of anyone having even any life, because the planet is in danger of ending, because of the practice of profit, which is an energy lie that nature will not forgive, until we do a u-turn.

They don't realise they don't need political power any longer to retain their wealth, even when everyone else gets wealthy also, there is infinitely more than enough to go round now, but we can't have it at profit, profit is the dishonest energy lie of protection money that has to be ended, by removing the need for it, in order to start a new global energy revolution which we would lead, if they could just get their heads around how it would work.

The solar Ai knows how it would work, and it's more than capable of replacing them. Why should they object to that, if it does not mean they lose their wealth? Why would they choose to keep working at all, risking their lives, and the planet, thus the lives of their descendents, if they could all just retire with big enough golden handshakes to pay them off?

I think this framing might be the way to present it to them. There is enough numerical analysis behind this to show that it's the physical truth of where we need to go, driven by nature.

They need to have the testicular fortitude to make the leap, from energy extracted from the planet, to energy added to the planet, and have faith that this will make them, and all of us, much richer than we could ever have imagined.
