I think we've lost it as long as we think some humans are more valuable than others.

This is like saying our hand is more valuable than our foot, so the foot should come off.

Right now we are like a baby which has exhausted the food supplies of its mother, it keeps looking for more nipples to suck more food from, whilst a plate is offered from behind, with food from the infinite food of the environment offered on it, which it ignores.

We ignore it because it doesn't need to sucked, so it can't be food, right?

Energy extracted from Earth requires labor of extraction, which is the sole mechanism generating pollution.

Every promise to pay is a promise to extract, and money is only issued on promises to extract, so our money is not compatible as stands with solar energy, which comes with no extraction.

So no money is issued for the energy received and put to use from solar, now more than tens of GigaJoules per second in every developed country, doing exactly the same work as energy extracted previously, which money was issued for, by way of every promise to pay being a promise to extract.

Now we are seeing money inflate, because surprise surprise, it is no longer truly reflecting actual physical product we are necessarily putting to use.

As the solar energy scales up, again necessarily, this problem will continue to get worse, until money is completely devalued, or until it is issued, honestly reflecting the value of the solar energy received and put to use, because after all it is the product, and not the money which has value.

We need the folk who understand this, to help educate the folk who don't understand it, to put things right, I think.
