I think this is one of the best stories you've written Ray, I love it :)
I think you are right, this could be key to winning the war of the majority, who are basically good people wishing the best for all, and most of all, we love a bit of fun :)
This is the only thing that keeps me going on this path of unpaid Systems Engineering / research work, seriously, I look forward to the street party that we will enjoy celebrating in all places around the world for years, after the old system of scarcity enforcement is officially declared dead, and the new system of solar sourced abundance is formally acknowledged as commenced with the issue of Kardashev Money.
I think this is the reason so many are immersed in virtual worlds, we can have fun in those places, whilst doing absolutely nothing to contribute to real world bullshit business, whilst being in relative physical safety ourselves, or being any physical danger to others.
There are folk who would argue the hokikimori are causing a problem. I would argue they are simply creating the fun world they/we want to eventually have in the real world, and as they multiply, so does their power.
