I think there might be a better way of saying capitalism had its day, when capital existed. Now it doesn't, capital is now an illusion, since we opened the box to the energy of the sun, which by our human systems creates capital faster than we can tie it down, now things are truly no longer constant, nothing can be considered as capital any longer, and where we resist changing, we are rewarded by inflation.
We can see this by looking at the physics, money no longer can represent fixed amounts of anything not in motion, because only things in motion are truly valuable, not things standing still, like capital. We seem to be moving to a new paradigm of energyism, where money has to come to represent the flow of Joules at any point, as those are the points where real value is generated or lost, whilst money representing only capital has to cease having value.
