I think there is a system counter Robin, recognising that money is energy; the global debt actually represents our energy deficit with our planet. There are a few live websites with various representations of that, but they all tell the same story, if we accept market prices dictate the "Gearing" of energy to money (Which is slipping now, due to spiralling inflation)
