I think the fix is incredibly simple and beautiful also - Energy independence for all via domestic and community based solar hydrogen ecology, perpetually stimulated by solar indexed UBI. This will slay the profit monster once and for all, ending it's destructive, dishonest run, whist repairing all the damage done to the planet, in very short order.
