I still don't get why you can't see carbon mitigation is a profit driven red herring, bullshit business, which requires more energy extraction and thus temperature rise to satisfy it. This is how you bake in exponentially rising temperature. Remember the atmosphere is adiabatic, so there is no blanket effect of C02, it's direct increase of entropy we are measuring with temperature, and every quanta of it is due to the energy in profit, which is directly proportional to it.
Its a bit like an old school teacher once said to sxhoolkids complaining about their zits, "It's those sweets you are eating, you might as well take them and stick them to your face, they go straight to zits anyhow".

The energy in profit goes straight to temperature rise, how can we carry on denying this when the system analysis shows it, even ChatGPT can put numbers on it.
Ray is right, the extraction of fossil fuels has to stop, but more than that, all extraction, all profit has to stop, and the only way we will do that is by monetising sunlight put to use as anything other than heat.
