I noticed you mention Yoruba elsewhere, and Yoruba derived folklore (Santeria - from Cuba) appears to have a huge talent for what I think David is talking about here, it inspires music and stories making fun in a celebratory way of all things in life, making people laugh, would it be fair to say the ifa spirit of Eshu / Ellegua / Papa legba, spirit of the crossroads, master of all languages, and a trickster, but in a way that teaches valuable lessons, is master of the absurd?
