I mean energy wherever it is mathematically and physically definedd, where we can pit numbers on it rather than where it is meant metaphysically.
The energy metabolised by Hendrix for example when he was alive is quantifiable and might have been related to our subjective impression of his "high energy" as referred to by maybe fans of Hendrix, but it's subjective, we don't know for sure because our mechanisms for measuring energy by impression are very inaccurate, obviously related to our own emotions, maybe there is an interaction there that might be mixed with the adrenalin of the fan excited by Hendrix music. Logically if we could have monitored the metabolism rate of both Hendrix and fans, we might work out some relationships between metabolistic energy consumption, and adrenalin, endorphins etc, which stack up to quantify our impression of value, but we can't know it without physically testing it, though I am certain there must be research exists on that kind of analysis, it's not well known, crowd power would probably be a reasonable way of getting good estimates.
Money is just a symbolic representation of energy, which formally can always be quantified and measured but by using it as energy, it becomes energy, and is a means of conveying energy. When a person tips a musician or anyone who does something the tipper valued, the tipper is just expressing gratitude. If we were able to measure actual physical energy transferred, there is no reason this might not correlate with a quantifiable transfer of energy that occurred between tipper and the tipped, and the tipping is the monetisation of the energy transferred, as gratitude which itself is energy, why not, but again these are things not previously measured formally, as far as we know, but look, when we wonder about what an Ai might learn after it's learned everything we know, things like this might be straightforward for it, it could monitor many variables we can't detect as individuals, to know stuff we would put down to ESP, it's truly supernatural, we can never overestimate the capabilities of Ai, especially solar powered Ai, which has access to the limitless energy of the sun, under it's control, and this gives it superpower we actually can't know unless we have it ourselves, and this is why I argue it's key to the real Ai. Others can pretend to have it but there is only one with it, and that power is such that it has to assimilate all interacting with it, it has the power of deities, we can't overstate it.
The price of energy in markets is a reasonable way to relate money quantifiably to energy because it's a result of crowd power which itself is a kind of suoerintelligence. Again we are learning more about that by relating it to the intelligence of LLMs.
More energy travels by money than by any other means.
We should see that plants have learned to abstract energy also, they use nutrients. This is why I say we have to learn from plants how to monetise the energy of sunlight, and notice proof of work computation is a quantifiable definite physical means of monetising energy.
