I love your positive attitude Jim, it's something much needed, but not quite hitting the mark by itself, imho. I agree completely that we have to move to solar, its a no brainer really. I envy that you are in a position to more or less do it by yourself. But there remains a fundamental problem standing in the way of making the transition for all. It is true grids are shrinking because of solar adoption, but look how they are reacting to it, more and more profit driven business is being set up to try to counter things like CO2 etc, when those are consequences of profit driven business, itself, since profit is uniquesly associated with energy extraction, it has no place by solar, we can't get more out of the sun than what we put in, which is zero in any case, it gives what it gives for free.

We see these issues come up in various places, inflation is one, another is in the financial viability of utilities energy / grid companies having to buy back product they sold previously, whilst their market shrinks, but their shareholders including banks and governments can't let their financial obligations go, so we see price gouging, for product that we have to have to live, and folk who can't make enough profit to supply the money (energy!) demanded, physically die off from not having enough energy to live. We are actually increasing the rate of planetary warming because profit is hard wired to the temperature rise. What we should realise is that the energy flow through humanity is a little like lightning flow, it finds the path of least resistance, and mutiplies down that path. The problem is that there already is a fat path established upwards from Earth to humanity. Every new business for profit is like another root attempt (Though that might be useful if it can handle reversal of energy when it happens). Overcoming it will need to be something done suddenly, othewise we risk blowing the switch, like a mosfet transistor that took too long to switch from one energy source to another, it has to dissipate infinite energy in the switch. It physically can't follow an S-curve. I say more about that in the story linked below. Thanks for your positive response, I hope you keep up the good work, all power to you.
