I love Spanish language too and understand your point completely. My fav music nowadays is all Latin, because it preserves the special romantic, very happy thing that has always gone on between men and women, until lately when we in the West appear to be trying to kill it, and thus us, as a species. I didn't know specifically about the Latinx thing, but see your point completely.

The way things are going, orginal Latin music and dance including things like Guaguanco are on course to be banned in the West. I even saw one "Guy" in Medium saying Twerking is something obscene, that decent girls should never do - how insane, when Latin kids, male and female, grow up with it, showing obvious advantage in dance ability, it comes down again to something like race bigotry, I think.
