I love LEDs too, but can't help wondering the long term effects of them on the eyes. We are looking at them now for many hours in the day, the tech is closely realated to laser tech, which we know is harmful to eyes, the LEDs are getting brighter and brighter, but we see no sign yet of safety regulation on LEDs.
This more an observation of safety regulation, than LEDs.
Does it occur that safety now is very low priority, compared wiith making profit?
The long term consequences of LEDs being damaging, if they were, and if we didn't know, would be awful. Lots of blind people.
