I love EV tecnology too. But I also still love really nice examples of growling internal combustion engines, like any engine in a v configuration, the more cylinders the better.
And I even loved the unholy noise of supersonic commercial aircraft aero engines.
As yet, we still dont know an EV technology which will provide propulsiion for the craft of my own longstanding systems engineering experience; supersonic and/or space going craft (Aerospace).
But it looks to me like maybe we can have our cake again and eat it, with solar powered hydrogen fuel technology.
That functionally replaces fossil fuels with none of the emissions, and would keep fuel systems Engineers busy for a while developing fossil to hydrogen engine conversion technologies.
So I see a place for both EV and internal combustion engined vehicles, even in a fully solar connected, non polluting world, with even things like suoersonic commercial aircraft, and moon landers coming back, funded by Kardashev Money, as I’ve written about.

Reversible hydrogen fuel cells act like batteries until charged, then they start to generate hydrogen fuel, all from a unit requiring no rare Earth materials. That pretty much supersedes battery technology, it seems to me.
Imagine what a hydrogen converted Bugatti V16 might sound like, pretty cool I think.
