I like your article, it is very pro ChatGPT, I am also a big fan of it.
I've had a machine with advanced graphics running the latest development Ubuntu that was stuffed twice by rogue updates, fixed by ChatGPT both times. It did this by requesting reports from log files by filename, and instructing what config changes and code updates I had to make by hand, whilst I was using another machine to chat with it. It strikes me that with the right interface, which I or anyone could feasibly create using it's instruction, issued in response to the appropriate request, would enable it to automatically and autonomously carry out all the maintenance needed to put my machine right, every time. If it was also interfaced with the Ubuntu repository, and responding to user requests for additional functionality, this would be fully automated Ubuntu, and actually even fully automated linux.
No more manual work needed then for Ubuntu or linux. How could Microsoft Windows continue to compete with fully automated Ubuntu and linux?
I wonder if they haven't thought about this and be trying to grab ChatGPT before it bowls them over.
