I like this analysis, because it has at least prompted some economists to think, judging by their responses :) Thanks for posting!
To me ecomonics has become a pseudoscience, like much of science, driven by corporate interests.
But it has a chance to redeem itself now, by recognising the need for, and how, the mechanism of transportation the energy all humans personally need (money), has to change from one tying us into energy by extraction, to energy gifted by an external donor (only solar).
This is the test of economics; can it move to accommodate that scenario, or must that scenario remain something only Engineers are getting our heads around? :)
