I know you are probably right, there never was any scarcity, it never was a closed box.

But here is solid, even mathematical proof of the end of capitalism (it comes after the bits you’ve highlighted), which ironically the most capitalist are so eager to invest in, they miss, presumably because they can’t resist thinking more about the short term profit.

I don’t think we had any proof before, but now this looks like something real, with huge potential benefit.

Though I don’t have anything but time invested myself, I really think Bitcoin is capable of swallowing up all capital, replacing it with tangible, assignable, practical infinite wealth in the form of energy for all people, from the sun.

If we include human brain-power as a kind of labour, then perhaps we mean the same thing.

I agree energy is nothing without at least that, but with it, there seems no limit to the work that can be done with sunlight, certainly more than all physical human labour.

On whether or not those with excess energy will share it, live energy is not like any money we’ve seen previously, it actually becomes a nuisance to have too much, the easiest way to dispose of it is just give it away.

It will be interesting to see what happens after the last Bitcoin is minted, and the computation load is suddenly removed from the system.
