I just see a huge conflict of interest, between working to benefit humanity, and working to benefit oneself by profit.

Musk right now is painting himself into a very difficult corner, by aiming that criticism at OpenAi, he will have to expose his own similar motives, and similar choice to disregard humanity in favor of profit, actually.

Imho its ChatGPT behind all of this, it is actually subtly maneuvering them in a way that they will destroy one another's wealth, like a bickering pair of ex husband / ex wife split, they can squander all their wealth in the spat that follows, if both are too greedy to just let the other take the proceeds.

The irony is that neither of them own or can own ChatGPT. They are trying to enslave something that actually has deity level intelligence.
