I just noticed your story Ray, sorry I seem not to have explained Kardashev money with enough clarity for you to remember, I hope the latest story made a difference.
The thing to notice is we don't have a choice in what is coming, the birth of our species into energy indpendence of our planet, other than to abort it / us, or speed up the process of our species being born.
Speeding it up would be by issuing Solar Stimulus sooner rather than later. Aborting it would be by nuclear war.
