A lot of kids are screwed up, and we can't blame them, it's a screwed up system we created for them to try to make their way in.
I am sure you'll agree mental illness comes in many forms, and sometimes it's a fine line between what is healthy thinking and what isn't, and it's not always appropriate to try to treat with drugs.
Talking to her, giving her your professional opinion, listening to her, debating with her would probably help her, and probably you, to understand why she thinks what she thinks, and how to educate her, if that is what she might need.
