I hope you are ready to learn about what sustainablity really means then. It means creating, rather than destroying. That means we have to create all the fuel we consume. The only way we can do that is by using the energy of the sun the same way as nature uses it. So like them or hate them, solar panels are in the chain because we have no other way of converting solar energy to energy that we might convert to fuel.
The challenge, is to stop destruction, solar panels are a vital part of the solution, which if you trash, you trash the only way out of the mess of a burning planet.
