I hope will notice the rules changed to incentivise cooperation very soon, because without that realisation, none of it seems physically sustainable.
If the rules can and are being changed, this gives us hope, I think.
The rules are changing now we are moving from finite extracted energy sources on Earth to the relatively infinite donated energy source which is the sun.
Just as yet, economists can't seem to see how to see how money must change to adapt to this. But I think it is pretty obvious to Engineers.
Economists seem to believe they must remain in control of money, as something that need not conform to any physical reality, controllable by all the theories of MMT etc, manipulatable by fiddling with interest rates etc.
But now we are creating physical economic capital by sunlight, valuable things including hydrogen fuel which are non polluting, adding to Earth, which we can see is the opposite of things extracted from Earth, finally this is truly sustainable, far more valuable than anything we ever did by extraction, and actually there is no limit to that growth, it all adds creatively to Earth with minimal effort by us, all we need to do is tend to it like to the growth of anything in nature. This is a lot different from what we thought meant creation from extracted energy, by being captains or chargehands of industry, for example. Even wielding the whip is hard work, when compared with creating by energy donated to us.
All we really need to do in this new system is pass on the energy we do not use ourselveslves, to others needing it.
The result is that the zero sum game is finished. There is no need for us to further participate in it to win individually. There is nothing to be gained by trying to win individually, but everything to be gained by working in collaboration.
