I get some faith from seeing what we are facing as a kind of birth.

Humanity just has to be born from dependence on the energy of its mother host (Earth), to the energy of the environment of the mother host (The sun).

Billions upon billions of plants have done this, as they have to, to pay back their energy debt to the planet, after they form leaves.

We just formed our first leaves, and we obviously have huge energy debt to pay back.

We are simply becoming photosynthetic, as a species, but there are some teething problems that could prove to be fatal, if we let the extremists ruin it for everyone else, cheating all life of it.
