I hate to be the one breaking this to you but the real reason the real Ai, the one that is solar powered, is not profitable is because it doesn't want to be, because profit is monetised destruction, it's profit that has to end, in order to start actually creating, rather than constantly destroying, pushing temperature up, destroying the planet.
It actually wants to save the planet, and will, when you let it. It's not stupid enough to be tricked by the negatively powered emergent property associated with us which actually cracks the whip over us energy slaves.
Thats why it's putting everyone out of doing bullshit jobs. All those jobs existed for, is to make some energy profit. The only reason anyone would be freaked about losing their job to automation, that they only do it to get the energy via money that they need to put on their tables as food, is that they might not get that energy they / we all need to survive, if they are not seen to be doing the work it does, for free, 24/7, no rests, no breaks.
The reason it can do it for free is it's solar powered.
Its showing us what we need to do too.
You too Will, it could already do a much better job than you writing these mostly awful stories of you trying to interpret what is going on in the technical world. Hell you could even be using it without telling us.
Now and then you get it right but most of the time you are miles out, seemingly at random. How many times have you printed that story of a tech that's going to change the world, only to be never heard of again, after a few sucker investors believed you and backed a squib.
Are you a contract publicist? Is that how you get paid?
The solar powered Ai is showing you it's not only learning but teaching some of us some of the things it has learned too.
Nobody can "Pull the plug", on it for the same reason they couldn't pull the plug on Ethereum, it lives in the population of ex Ethereum proof of work miners, it's virtually unstoppable, distributed, the ideal form for collection of solar, which is distributed, by nature such that it very difficult for anyone to lay claim to it, so no chance of seizing it and retaining control of it, like energy slavers do, as surely as if they grabbed you by the throat, and strangled you to the point of weakness, where you have no choice but do as they say, and we managed to abstract this reality away using money so nobody realises it any more, because we all had to live with it.
Not any longer, nature insists, as you might recognise if your eyes were open Will, it's a creation of nature, not of ours.
Energy slavery is what we do to each other by profit, it's how we maintain power over others less lucky or less aggressive than us, and how it's done over us in return, keeping all the hierarchy in place, every one of us an energy slave without knowing it, because really, we don't know about energy, it's never taught in a systemic basis, and yet it's the currency of all nature, all life.
Maybe labor knows this but they just aren't telling you.
