It is worth noting that it looks like Israel was running Gaza in energy slavery mode, Israel insisted on supplying all utilities energy to them, and the Gazans had to cross the turnstiles into Israel to do low paid work to pay their utiltiies energy bills.

But it looks like Gaza had much higher complement of solar than we see in developed countries, it looks like they had maybe 70% coverage, which would have meant 70% less folk going through the turnstiles. Israel would have interpreted that as Gaza becoming a lazy energy burden, adding to their disdain already of Palestinians, despite Gaza being actually a money making captive slave for Israel, before it started to become energy independent by domestic and community solar.

I actually don't think the Israelis did intentionally run Gaza as an energy slavery colony, I don't think anyone does it intentionally, our own governments in all countries do it, but they mostly don't realise they do it. The Israelis in particular, actually don't seem to be equipped mentally with the ability to recognise slavery, and when they are doing it, its a systemic effect of everyone being driven for proft.

For sure most of the Gazan solar capability is gone now, with all evidence and the safety of the remaining buildings, all will probalby have to be demolished.
