I first became aware of PD when Michael J Fox was diagnosed with it. He was only thirty at the time, and looked even younger, it shocked everybody around his age including me, we all wondered if it wasn't something we would see affecting more and more people. But something else that seems apparent now, checking back to see how he is doing, he seems to be doing much better than we've seen in typical PD cases, like Muhammed Ali, Billy Connolly, and lots more, they all seemed to rapidly deteriorate following diagnosis, whereas Michael J still looks like he is coping. Has to be due to age, but it doesn't look linear to me, it looks a little like covid, like it strikes older folk an awful lot harder.
Anyhow, you probably know of the Michael J Fox foundation. if you haven't contacted them yet, might be worth speaking to them, your research would probably be very valuable there, if they don't already know about it.
Thanks for telling us about it, I hope it goes well. It would be one less thing for us elders to worry about, and we can never know, if it is related to covid, and flu etc, a cure for one could be a cure for all.
