I don't have words to describe how happy I am to read you saying this here Cory, and so well put too, the swimming pool pissing is so funny, as it does scream of childlike logic, yet it highlights something so f***ing annoying, as none of us has the choice of whether or not to swim in the pool.
Thank you very much for posting.
I love Cuba, the Cuban people, and their culture. I've been there lots, immersed in the culture, and plan to end up there one day.
That we don't hear much news from there in the mainstream seems something deliberate, it shows the quality of our media.
The recent crackdowns on remittances are an incredibly nasty and very cruel move, as has always been the embargo. Seeing these things happen is like watching someone who has been deliberately deprived of air by having their mouth permanently taped, now having more tape slapped over their nostrils.
And that happened on Biden's watch. So it isn't about politics, it is something much deeper, an addictive monster that we should take the opportunity to seek out and kill now, because it is also responsible for the environmental issue, the other thing which needs fixing before it kills us.
What the vaccine has done is to show us how infection really works.
We need to recognise that infections are not just physical, there are also infections affecting our minds, like addictions, those are highly infectious, and most of us will admit to at least one.
But the worst addicts are those who don't even know, or long forgot they are addicts.
Like Bill Gates.
Profit, appears to be one that has affected us for all of our known history. Most of us practice it without even thinking. In general we have to, to survive.
Of course all money and all business is based on it, in fact, all of human life, as things stand.
A manifestation of it is the tendency to wish to take possesion of, to save, to invest in things, and to condemn anything, or anyone that can't or won't join in with that doctrine.
The inevitable outcome of it is every human pitched against every other in competition, and the net movement of wealth from the nicest to the nastiest.
Living by it is not really living, as we are all starting to see, it isn't much fun for most of us in the world driven by profit.
The long term consequences of it has been to deceive us into not even seeing clearly what is going on, as it was the tail of an exponential, almost unnoticeable with consequences seemingly way beyond our lifetimes, like when the effects of CO2 pollution were realised, 125 years ago.
It is a depletion curve, of the energy we can practically remove from our planet.
But now we are on the inflection of the curve, it rises ever more steeply, towards infinity, no matter how much we think we can conserve, the curve just keeps getting steeper, because we are still using some of that hard limited energy.
Those still most heavily infected, addicted, and deceived by the profit monster deny there is even a problem, or even see it as a kind of opportunity, like Gates, probably anyone invested in big pharma, and definitely everyone who invests in, or would like to invest in Geoengineering, and/or fusion power, and a stack of other things, because they genuinely can't conceive the fundamental issue, that we have to be born as a united species, by removing our energy dependence from Earth.
The human usable energy battery of Earth is depleting, and the only available source to charge it with, is the same one that charged it before, the sun.
So we need to do the same as trees have always done, but quicker, to compensate for the speed we did the discharging.
We might think some exotic new technology is needed to do that, and we'd be right, but it is there, if we just look to see it.
We just need to remove the profit visor to see it.
Proof-of-work tokens are proving to be the means we needed to monetise sunlight.
Bitcoin is the main example, but we need to be able to see through the profit visor to realise it is not so much the amount of energy it has an appetite for, but the kind of energy, the cheapest, which of course is solar, the only one given to us for free, but even better doesn't come from our planet.
Switching to it as we have to, is going to come as a shock, to everyone still infected by the profit monster, everyone claiming ownership of, and invested in capital, even in the capital value of Bitcoin itself.
That explains why sunny El Salvador is looking to what has to be a very risky business of extracting the energy from volcanoes for the mining of the tokens they are now using as currency, rather than just setting up some nice hydrogen fuel cell backed up solar farms with established technology.
Anyway, apologies if this ramble comes as a lot to unpack, but to get to the point; the value of money is currently in transition, from representing energy as capital, to representing energy in motion from the sun, as it has to, for us to make the leap needed.
The end result is devaluation of all capital.
We are seeing it first as inflation, from the perspective of the old system, but it is the opposite, from the perspective of the new, non profit system of being wholly solar powered.
Ironically, if we'd fixed this 120 odd years ago, when Tesla actually embarked with such a project, we might have avoided pretty much all the bad stuff since, because a united humanity would have handled things very differently than they've been handled.
Better late than never!
