I don't doubt anything you are saying, we seem to see more or less the same issue, that we are fooling ourselves as a global population that somehow we are doing "The right thing", and now we are having to accept it was unsustainable, there seems a core of folk who are determined to try to prop up the old unsustainable system, as long as it doesn't affect them or theirs, they maybe don't care as long as it's others facing the atrocity of having to die for the old system, but sooner or later it will, as it crashes down, the best we could do right now is look for what nature appears to be pushing into us, what fits, and to me it looks like domestic and community solar hydrogen, but to have it, before too much more damage is done, some very "high up" folk are going to have to make a decision to release their grip on power, by throwing their capital into the mix, or even better, their powers of issue of currency.
