I don't always agree with you but on this story you are spot on, imho. We wouldn't be seeing these problems if Metcalfe's law was elevated to statutory, to emphasise more connectivity, more data ( like more energy) is always good, can never be bad for the whole. The role of parents then is to teach kids how to most effectively use the data and connections available. We will have time for that when working for life becomes no longer a requirement (ie when solar indexed stimulus finally is implemented). Watch the unwitting energy slaves in relative control try to stop that from happening also.
