I couldn't agree more. In safety Engineering there is a basic rule which says if the consequences of a risk are unacceptable, don't take the risk.
That was ignored in cases like the Grenfell fire, Lebanon explosion, and Boeing 737 max disasters, and look what happened. As always, profit comes first.
I think we can safely say that if the worst happens with climate disaster, probably also accompanied by nuclear war, it will have been all due to profit always coming first, before even the planet.
