Can you see how crazy the above highlighted statement actually is, logically?
The sun is fusion. That is what you (conventional profit driven scientific community) are trying to reproduce, in a box.
Not only that but you are using nonsensical scientific / engineering units, to try to present what looks like impossible to the technically literate, as possible to the technically illiterate (holders of capital?)
What matters, is that human made fusion has to produce a net gain in energy, a positive EROI.
That means Joules out must be greater than Joules in.
But you presented “Gains” in terms of power, which is Joules per second.
All good, if all is sustained infinitely, in which case EROI makes no sense, as in the case of solar, but this was not, it was a finite short duration test.
So the technical reader might want to try deduce the EROI, but can’t because you have not presented enough information.
We need the durations of both input and output power, to compute EROI.
Otherwise articles on fusion are just modern day snake-oil.
Are you happy to supply enough data to validate?
