I can see your
your logic, if we ignore that we’ve actually lost supersonic commercial flight, the shuttle, manned moon landings, worldwide collaborative vaccine development, nuclear disarmament, freedom of speech, freedom of journalism, truthful journalism, and instead gained worldwide terrorism, poverty, and a burning planet.

Our system looks pretty broken if we just think of a few of those things, it seems to me.
