I came to similar conclusions, we need an external enemy, to focus all our aggression towards, and poetically, when we look closely at our own existence, genetics, and progression of knowledge, there appears evidence we are a hybrid species, and the worst of the things that created us, is worse than our worst nightmares, and could be back soon.
Lets hope the telescope might spot it.
